The front of this folded card shows a Skunk Cabbage, Winter Wren, and Varied Thrush. I used an airbrush to paint the original; this is an inkjet print about 4 x 6 inches (10 x 15 centimeters). The card itself is slightly larger. The inside is blank, ready for your own greeting or note, and an envelope is also included.

I love the Skunk Cabbages I see when hiking and running in the forest. It is likely that nearby a Winter Wren will be singing his long cheerful song, and in the tree tops the Varied Thrush song floats through the air. I combined these forest friends in my painting.

Since I have used an airbrush for many years to paint my animal wood carvings, when I started painting that was naturally the tool I used. I gives the colors a softness which I enjoy. I spray through stencils which I have cut, to give harder edges.
