Product Description
Ghana Fair Trade beads and brass African necklace. These glass beads come from an organization in Ghana which buys them directly from the bead makers, and that is true Fair Trade. Each set of beads must go back into the wood fired kiln each time a new color is appplied. To make such a great necklace, I added two types of brass beads from the Ajiba area of the Ivory Coast. On the ends are some smaller black trade beads from the Fair Trade organization also. I hand hammered a copper closure. My local customers like my copper closures so much, because they add to the primitive styles of these great African necklaces, and are also easy to put on. Hand hammering the copper hardens it so the closure won't bend from handling. This necklace is about 19" long. Big enough for men or women!
