This ancient symbol of Christianity is interpreted here in oxidized fine silver hand made from precious metal clay. Eco friendly precious metal clay is a material that incorporates recycled silver particles in an organic binder. The artisan molds, stamps or sculpts the clay, then fires it in a high temperature kiln. Firing burns off the binder and fuses the recycled silver particles together, resulting in an almost one hundred percent pure silver piece of jewelry. Fine silver is more tarnish resistant than sterling, as it is not alloyed with any other metals. This piece was pressed into a mold made from an antique button, fired in a kiln, tumble polished and oxidized. The pendant is about one and a quarter inches long, and hangs from a sixteen inch long synthetic suede cord. Choose a sterling silver chain for three dollars more.
