Variations on chain maille patterns were used all over the world to create strong, versatile armor. The pattern used in this particular necklace is a variation of an ancient Japanese weave, with a sterling silver chain that flows into a focal triangle. This necklace is created entirely of sterling silver and measures approximately sixteen and a half inches long (16.5"), with the central triangle measuring about one and one quarter inches (1.25") on each side. It hangs from a versatile hook-and-eye clasp, which makes it easy to get on and off, as well as allowing the wearer to pair it with another necklace.
