Lines of copper dichroic glass zigzag across this square, white fused glass pendant. Between the lines, irregular shapes of blue, green and gold dichroic glass, outlined in black, add shimmering color to the design - a striking, unique and versatile piece of wearable art.

An adjustable (16" to 19") black velveteen necklace is included with this pendant. Its gold plated bail is large enough to accommodate most clasps and chains, so it can also slide easily onto a variety of necklaces/chains.

This pendant was handmade in our home-based glass studio near Dallas, Texas where we kiln-fuse a wide variety of art glass and sparkling dichroic glass to bring you one of a kind works of wearable art.

For this pendant, Martyn first formed the copper lines by heating dichroic glass stringers (thread-like lengths of glass) in a flame to achieve the desired shape. He then hand cut and shaped three layers of glass - opaque white art glass, colorful dichroic glass plus the stringer shapes, and a top layer of clear art glass - and fused them into a single piece in the kiln. After firing, the piece was shaped with a glass grinder to smooth the edges and then returned to the kiln for fire polishing.

All of our glass pieces are thoroughly annealed (a 7+ hour controlled cooling process) for strength and durability.

Please also be aware that small bubbles sometimes form in our pieces during the firing process. This is not uncommon with fused glass and usually adds interest to the finished piece.
