This unique, handmade, glass appetizer set includes 4 square appetizer-sized plates and a larger, coordinating serving dish in bold red and black art glass. Tasting parties are a hot trend right now and this set is a great way to make your party extra special by serving sushi, hors d'oeuvres or even small desserts on pieces of handmade art.

The four appetizer plates, two each in coordinating red and black striped designs, have a curved shape and will even rest securely on top of most any glass, giving you and your guests a spare hand when it's needed.

The coordinating serving dish is approximately 8 inches square, and with its dramatically upturned corners, it can also be used as a shallow bowl. And when the party's over, it will be equally at home as a decorative accent piece for your kitchen, a large candle holder, candy dish or an accent piece for displaying other decorative items.

Each appetizer plate measures approximately 5" square. The serving dish is approx. 8" square. All 5 pieces are approx. 1/4" in thickness and have been capped with clear glass to ensure food safety. Not intended for microwave use. Hand washing is recommended.

Each piece in this appetizer set was handmade in our home-based glass studio near Dallas, Texas. We use only high quality art and dichroic glass made by USA manufacturers which we cut and shape by hand, fuse together at temperatures in excess of 1500° F, and thoroughly anneal (or cool) in the kiln for 6 to 8 hours to prevent cracking.

Please be aware that every piece in this set is unique by virtue of the fact that it was made by hand. Please also note that small bubbles sometimes form in our work during the firing stage. This is not uncommon with fused glass and usually adds interest to the finished piece.
