$24.00
Quantity: 1 available
Product Description
A creamy tan, very smooth, curved shell that has been worn on the edgies, is so different! Almost flat, it flares out on the left. This shell cuddles a pearly white tumbled smooth Cape May Diamond, stones found only on one beach at the Cape May Point! In a half circle surrounding the Cape May Diamond, at the top, are six fresh water pearls.
The large bail is silverplated and is large enough for your thick chains. Included with this item is an organza ribbon that is finished with a silver plated lobster claw clasp. You can choose 16" or 18" in white, pink, black or copper. Please let me know your choices.
Also includes a felt gift pouch.
Measures 2 1/4" high from the top of the bail and 1 5/16" wide. Note: this shell is curved at the bottom, so it is an unusal shape. It does not lay perfectly flat and tends to curve more to one side.
Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
I grew up as a child going to the beaches at Cape May where my grandmother once lived. There is one particular beach where Cape May Diamonds are prevalent, known as the Cape May Point. At one time you could see a great deal of a concrete ship that was sunk at that location, at this time very little of that ship is seen from the beach. As a child I can remember searching for Cape May Diamonds, and several shops would tumble your stones for you, or you could purhase jewelry made with thise sought after stones. This kidney shaped Cape May Diamond is a beauty! The shell was found on the beach in Nags Head N.C. The hours invested include the time to search for the relics from the beach, tough work!
