This original brooch was created from a piece of beach pottery found on the coast of Tuscany. It's such a creamy sweeet shade of baby blue!

The pottery shard is somewhat rough on the sides, the blue coating is slightly chipped on one side of the V and there are some chips on the other side where the black stone is placed. The beach pottery is not perfect, but what tile from the sea is?

I've added a Black Jasper (aka Blackstone) it is a true black polished stone that is very classic looking. One large Freshwater Pearl was added to top off the classy look!

Imagine this on a white or black sweater or jacket. It's so different, yet beautiful.

This pottery was found by a friend who traveled to Tuscany. What a find! It has been tumbled and worn by the sea and can be found in one beach in Italy. The pottery seem to be parts of plates and earthenware, even wall tile. But they are worn down in the exact same way sea glass is but (most) with the glaze on top, it just makes it so beautiful and different. Italian pottery has been around for centuries and unless you are a pottery expert in that area it will be difficult to determine how old this sea pottery is. Healing properties of Black Jasper (aka Blackstone) Black Jasper is a stone with a highly protective energy. It also has very healing energy. Black Jasper is said to bring good luck to the bearer in a fight, whether it be a mental, political, legal, or other type of fight.
