Johnson Bros was founded in 1883, and by 1896, all four brothers--Henry, Robert, Alfred, and Fred--were partners in the venture. By 1968, the company was taken over by Wedgwood. This particular piece was made circa 1913 onwards.

It stands 4 inches (10 cm) tall and 9.75 inches (25 cm) across.

It has a dark mark along the swirl ridge, which was obtained through the glazing process.
