Handmade natural bright shiny sterling silver .925 hand formed, self locking and hammered hoop earrings

** Handmade hoops are made of sterling silver 20 ga wire

** Self locking silver hoop earrings measure about 1 1/4 inches (3.2 cm)in diameter (from side to side)

** Each pair is filed for smoothness and then tumbled for wearability.

** The sterling silver in these artisan silver hoops has been left in its natural shiny state. If you would prefer that they were oxidized (also called antiqued or darkened) please let me know when you check out.

Sterling silver wire for these artisan hoop earrings is measured and cut by hand. I use a mandrel to form the circular shape. Then I hammer and slightly texture them just to make things a bit more interesting. After the earrings have been formed, I place them in a tumbler for a few hours to make them stronger and form a really shiny burnish on the metal. After the tumble, the hoops get a quick bath, and then are placed in an ribbon tied organza bag before I send them on to you.

*NOTE: these hoops are made from 20 ga wire...as with any smaller gauge more delicate wire, they will bend, so treat them accordingly. You probably shouldn't sleep or wrestle in them. :-)
