** Self locking hoops are made of sterling silver 20 ga wire

** These handmade fashion earrings are very small, about a ½ inch in diameter (side to to side)

** Each silver hoop earring is filed for smoothness and then tumbled for wearability.

** As each pair is handmade, you should expect some slight variation to the picture shown.

** Sterling silver has been oxidized (darkened). If you would prefer the silver to remain in its natural shiny state, please let me know in the notes to seller comments when you check out.

The sterling silver .925 wire for these handmade hoop earrings was measured and then cut by hand. I used a mandrel (a steel round pipe shaped object) to form the circular shape. Then I hammer and slightly texture them to add a bit of interest. After the earrings have been formed, I oxidize the silver and then place them in a tumbler for a few hours to make them stronger and form a really shiny burnish on the metal. After a quick bath, I buff the darkened silver to a nice patina before I send them on to you.

NOTE: these hoops are made from 20 ga wire...as with any smaller gauge more delicate wire, they will bend, so treat them accordingly. You probably shouldn't sleep or wrestle in them. :-)
