Small (3/4 inch or 2 cm in diameter) dark oxidized sterling silver hand formed, self locking and hammered hoop earrings

** Self locking hoop earrings are made of sterling silver 20 ga wire

** These silver hoops are small, about 3/4 inches (2 cm) in diameter. (From side to side)

** Each hand forged silver hoop pair is filed for smoothness and then tumbled for wearability.

Sterling silver wire for these hoop earrings are measured and cut by hand. I use a mandrel to form the circular shape. Then I hammer and slightly texture them just to make things a bit more interesting. After the earrings have been formed, I oxidize the silver and then place them in a tumbler for a few hours to make them stronger and form a really shiny burnish on the metal. After a quick bath, I buff the darkened silver to a nice patina before I send them on to you.

*NOTE: these hoops are made from 20 ga wire...as with any smaller gauge more delicate wire, they will bend, so treat them accordingly. You probably shouldn't sleep or wrestle in them. :-)
