Selvage edges and pieces of beautiful Kona Bay Asian fabrics in Reds and golds, with teal flowers were used to create this fun "upcycled" hip purse. The front, back and closure were completely machine pieced together using a zig zag stitch in gold cotton thread. The inside lining and straps were made from coordinating teal and gold floral fabric.

This LITTLE purse was made to hang over the shoulder and sits on your opposite hip for easy access. However, you can always shorten the straps and make it a shoulder bag. This purse is small enough to keep tight to your body and large enough to hold your wallet and a few other necessities.

Pockets were added to the lining to hold the little things that you might need (store discount cards, and a pen). The closure goes from the top/back of the purse to the front and attaches with hook and loop. A white plastic button was used to decorate the closure.

This is the PERFECT purse for Travel, or a long day of shopping!

One layer of fusible fleece was used between the layers and inside the strap, and closure to give the purse sturdiness and structure.
