Product Description
MEANING: French kings have long used the Fleur-de-lis as the symbol of their sovereignty and royalty. In ancient times it was known as the flower of Hera, the Greek Moon Goddess and was a symbol of purity. The Church later adopted it as an emblem of the sanctity of the Virgin Mary. More recently, it has become a symbol of New Orleans and the New Orleans Saints football team.

THE CARVING:
My Carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings. Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood. For more information on the process of creation, please see my profile.

SIZE:
The last picture has the piece on a quilting board. Measurements may vary slightly from piece to piece.
