MEANING: Are there torch bearers in your neighborhood? This Bashful Pentacle is an example of a HIDDEN PENTACLE. They are pentacles disguised for when it is not safe or appropriate to display a 'standard' pentacle. Many such stylized designs can be recognized by other believers, but are less apparent to outsiders.

A Pentacle protects, weaving all the elements; Spirit, Earth, Air, Water and Fire; into five spiked wards and a womb shaped defensive, protective pentagon at the center.

THE CARVING:
My Carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings. Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood. For more information on the process of creation, please see my profile.

SIZE:
The last picture has the piece on a quilting board, lined up on the 1 inch marks. So subtract 1 inch from the height and width for the stock size. Measurements may vary slightly from piece to piece.
