MEANING: Symbolizes the Twelve-Step Recovery Program of A A.

The Sobriety Circle & Triangle Symbol, is the symbol used by Alcoholics Anonymous. The equilateral triangle represents the three part answer - unity, recovery and service - to a three part disease - physical, mental and spiritual, while the circle represents wholeness or oneness.
The body should be triangular, stable, the mind circular, open.
The triangle represents the means for generation of good energy, and is the most stable physical posture.
The circle symbolizes serenity and perfection, and the source of unlimited potential. Together they represent the perfect union of mind and body.
It has been used in many native cultures. The priests, medicine men and seers of antiquity regarded the circle enclosing the triangle as a means of warding off spirits of evil, and A.A.'s circle and triangle of Recovery, Unity, and Service has certainly meant all of that to those of us in recovery and much more.
Love and Peace, Barefoot Windwalker

THE CARVING:
My Carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings. Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood. For more information on the process of creation, please see my profile.

SIZE: The last picture has the piece on a quilting board, lined up on the 1 inch marks. So subtract 1 inch from the height and width for the stock size. Measurements may vary slightly from piece to piece.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

(From Katrina) I found this description on-line at www.barefootsworld.net. I thought it was perfectly written and didn’t think paraphrasing would do the meaning justice, so I was going to contact him to let him know I was using it in full. I found that Barefoot Bob Hardison has passed on but the website remains active at his wish. It is a uplifting look into sobriety, perhaps you would like to visit...
