This etched copper heart pendant with a purple and gold lampwork glass bead is entirely handcrafted except for the seed beads.

I started by cutting out the shape of the heart from a piece of copper sheet metal and sanding the edges for a smooth finish.

I drew the design on to the heart and etched it, then oxidized it to bring out the full detail and texture of the design on the copper.

Next, I wove seed beads in a beautiful royal purple color down one side of the pendant.

To finish, I added a handmade lampwork glass bead in royal purple and golden yellow, finished with a pretty copper bead cap.

I strive to make as many of the parts for my jewelry pieces as is possible, and truly enjoy the endless possibilities of pairing my own handmade jewelry components with those that are commercially available, making my handmade jewelry items truly one of a kind.

2 1/2 inches long

All glass beads are handmade by me in my home studio and kiln annealed for durability and strength. However, they are made of glass and care should be taken as with any items made with glass.
