Handcrafted milky quartz cabochon etched copper flower pendant with seed bead embellishment.

This stunning milky quartz cabochon was cut and finished in my home studio using various grades of sandpaper and buffed to a wonderful shine. The cabochon is partly clear which allows one to see the not only the wonderful striations inside the stone itself but also shows bits of the copper back plate giving this pendant a warm inner glow.

The copper flower was handcut from a larger piece of copper sheet and the design hand drawn, then etched into the copper. Once the etching was complete, the cab was set in fine silver bezel wire and the entire piece was oxidized to bring out the lovely pattern of the etched metal.

To finish this piece I took seed beads in a beautiful russet red color and wove them down the side of the flower with copper wire.

This piece has a rustic, organic feel to it.

I strive to make as many of the parts for my jewelry pieces as is possible, and truly enjoy the endless possibilities of pairing my own handmade jewelry components with those that are commercially available, making my handmade jewelry items truly one of a kind.

I strive for excellence in design and construction in all of my handmade pendants and take great care when designing and making a jewelry piece.

The finished pendant is approx 2.5" (6.35cm) long.
