Ah, the allure of the beautiful Skelekitty. But be careful, if you are drawn in by her siren song ... well, you know how that kind of thing usually ends up.

An original 11"x14" mixed-media on hardboard featuring Skelekitty as a mermaid in "Siren Song." The central image has been burned into the wood and colors intricately layered using highly pigmented acrylic artist colors, pastels, pencils, inks, glitters, papers and gel medium.

The 3/4" thick edges are painted gold and have lines from Alfred Lord Tennyson's "The Mermaid" transferred on them:

"And if I should carol aloud, from aloft

All things that are forked, and horned, and soft

Would lean out from the hollow sphere of the sea,

All looking down for the love of me"

The entire painting is sealed with UVLS (ultra violet light stabalizing) high gloss top coat.
