LuxeOrnaments brass wire is hand antiqued by me in my studio. The Brass wire I use is an alloy of copper and zinc and has a beautiful golden hue when it is hand buffed. The wire is not enameled or shiny and has a soft powdery coating called a patina. The patina can be tailored to your tastes by hand buffing with a scotchbrite pad that can be purchased from your local hardware store. You control how light or dark you want the finished piece.

Because the patina is delicate, some of it will rub off your fingers while working with the wire. This is natural and to be expected. Some people prefer to lightly buff the wire before beginning their project.

I recommend either Renaissance wax or Permalac sealer to seal your projects.

This gauge is perfect for wire wrapping briolettes.
