This listing is for one (1) Handmade Lampwork Wavy Onyx 13mm Lentil Bead.

These beads feature a jet-black, liquid onyx glass as their bases. Each piece features a splashing wave represented by depths of hand-pulled silvered ivory glass lying on the ebony. The twist adds texture and accent. These striking mini lentils measure 13mm x 13mm, approximately, and have been hand-wound on 1/16" (1.59mm) mandrels.

A most important part of the creation process involves the annealing of the bead. As annealing has a direct effect on the longevity, strength, durability, and continuing beauty of the piece, I use a kiln designed for temperatures in excess of 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperatures are controlled digitally, by a state-of-the-art Fuji computerized controller, which is calibrated for optimum results.
