Ancient Treasure arises from a beautiful assortment of ten different transparent glasses including purple, aqua, teal and pink, which will sparkle and shimmer over ivory and silver foil forever. All of the beads in the Ancient Treasure series are quite time intensive. I usually spend three or four hours just pulling the necessary stringers to produce these - before I wind any beads at all. These Ancient Treasure Lentil Beads are all in the 13 x 13mm size range, and have been hand wound on 1/16" (1.59mm) mandrels.

A most important part of the creation process involves the annealing of the bead. As annealing has a direct effect on the longevity, strength, durability, and continuing beauty of the piece, I use a kiln designed for temperatures in excess of 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperatures are controlled digitally, by a state-of-the-art Fuji computerized controller, which is calibrated for optimum results.
