This listing is for 1 Raku Blossom Handmade Lampwork Round Bead.

A deep, liquid, jet-black onyx glass forms the base of Raku Blossom, atop which a raku glass has been applied. The raku has been hand-shaped into the most delicate of petals, and a single onyx raised dot forms the intersection point for them. The petals and the raised dots are encased in a crystal clear transparent glass.

These Raku Blossom round beads are in the 15mm x 10mm size range and have been hand-wound on 1/16" (1.59mm) mandrels.

A note about bead sizes: Every effort is made to send you beads that "match" as to size, as well as in appearance, and shape. I understand how important your jewelry designs are to you, which is why I do the selections myself.

A most important part of the creation process involves the annealing of the bead. As annealing has a direct effect on the longevity, strength, durability, and continuing beauty of the piece, I use a kiln designed for temperatures in excess of 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperatures are controlled digitally, by a state-of-the-art Fuji computerized controller, which is calibrated for optimum results.
