Ancient Iris arises from transparent aqua and ink blue glasses, which sparkle and shimmer over finest silver foil, all of which lie on a base of pale, soft Ivory glass. These Ancient Iris Pillow Beads are all in the 15mm x 15mm size-range, and have been hand-wound on 1/16" (1.59mm) mandrels.

A note about bead sizes: Every effort is made to send you beads that "match" as to size, as well as in appearance, and shape. I understand how important your jewelry designs are to you, which is why I do the selections myself.

A most important part of the creation process involves the annealing of the bead. As annealing has a direct effect on the longevity, strength, durability, and continuing beauty of the piece, I use a kiln designed for temperatures in excess of 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperatures are controlled digitally, by a state-of-the-art Fuji computerized controller, which is calibrated for optimum results.
