This auction is for one handmade lampwork Raku bead. These beads feature a base of rich black on which hand blown Raku shards have been carefully applied in the flame. The raku is then manipulated until the raku blossoms into its rainbow of color. After that the beads are lightly acid-etched, giving them a velvety and satiny smooth look and feel. Etched beads have matte finishes which make them both visual and tactile delights. These striking beads do vary in size, but they measure approximately 14mm - 15mm x 12mm, and were hand wound on 1/16" mandrels.

When I hand select your beads for shipping I am always careful to pick beads that are as close together in size and shape as I can get them.
