Here is a beautiful handmade glass lampwork bead - medium transparent blue over a rich periwinkle blue with a wandering river of webbed silvered ivory.

It is perfectly shaped, is well balanced, and has a flawless dimpled hole which has been hand lined with a sterling silver core.

This bead has a 3/16 inch (5 mm) hole (the perfect size for the interchangeable bead bracelets such as Pandora, Troll, Camilia, and Biagi).
Diameter approx 15 mm.

All of my beads are carefully kiln annealed to reduce stress in the glass. When cooled, the holes are cleaned with a Dremel rotary hand tool and a diamond bit for a professional finish.

I have been making larger hole beads for many years. Recently the European Charm bracelets with interchangeable beads became popular. I thought that I needed to add my style of beads to the mix.

To complete the bead, I cut sterling silver tubing with a cute little cut-off saw, polish the silver, and form it into a lovely core with hand tools - including a rawhide hammer. (Nothing gets the heart going faster than pounding on glass with a hammer, lol! Seriously, I'm gentle with the hammer.)
