This handmade glass lampwork bead reminds me of crystal blue water and warm sandy beaches. It was made by me in my exotic northeast Ohio studio.

Did you know that early lampworking was done in the flame of an oil lamp, with the artist blowing air into the flame through a pipe? Things have changed; I, along with most artists today use torches that burn either propane, natural gas, or MAPP gas as the fuel.
