SYMBOLISM OF THE KEY:

The key is not just associated with locks and industrial type objects..I feel the symbol of the key reminds us that the passage of time is just an illusion, and that we always hold the key to mystical knowledge which leads us to spiritual salvation - in whatever the path we choose, whether Christianity or Paganism....

THE TRIQUETRA AND CELTIC SPIRAL:

The bottom part of this piece features beads set with a triquetra symbol and a Celtic Spiral. The Triquetra is usually associated with the Goddess and the Celtic Spiral appears in many different cultures as the symbol of the spiral of life; in some cultures it is a symbol of the snake, associated with the South Node of the Moon, also called KETU in Sidereal Astrology. Ketu is a powerful force and the bringer of enlightenment and psychic abilites, as well as witchcraft and natural healing methods.

CITRINE AND TIGER'S EYE:

In Sidereal Astrolgy citrine brings good fortune and is associated with the planet Jupiter, lord of Pisces and Sagittarius. Tiger's Eye is associated with Ketu, the south node of the Moon in Sidereal Astrology.

MATERIALS:

THE BAIL: This necklace is made primarily of Victorian style filigree featuring a gold fairy embellished with Swarovski crystals and handmade ceramic elven vines.

THE PENDANT: This pendant features a solid brass vintage skeleton key. This pendant perhaps has a slightly medieval touch to it - The beads are set with cone brass bead caps and flower bead caps. These beads and caps remind me of a magickal talisman enchanted by faeries--It reminds me of magickal flowers and mushrooms from Tolkien's world of wizards and elves..

Indeed, this piece works wonderfully as a pendulum, and I feel that it is enchanted with a faerie for protection and removal of obstacles.:))
