This is an original watercolor painting by me, done on 140-lb watercolor paper (archival) which has been gessoed first for the texture.

Painting is 10 x 14 inches and is signed and dated on the back.

Price is for painting only with no matting and no framing.

This painting was one of my experiments in painting on textures. I painted gesso thickly on heavy watercolor paper, after which I placed a piece of plastic wrap on top, moving it around on the surface to create the texture.

After leaving the plastic on until the gesso was almost dry, I removed it and let it dry thoroughly before painting it with watercolors, letting the texture patterns suggest the fanciful creatures that finally emerged.
