These unique red white and blue heart ornaments represent the combination of my love for both quilting and knitting. The designs are a patchwork sampler done with yarn instead of fabric. Each heart starts as a square knitted in geometric patterns of stripes dots and plaids, which is sewn to a red felt heart shape and stuffed lightly. A few simple embroidery stitches and a 3 inch ribbon finishes the look. The puffy hearts are about 5 inches wide. Patterns will vary.
Knitting is a folk art that adds warmth and texture to any living style, be it country, cottage, modern or traditional.
The red white and blue colors of these knitted hearts can be used for many holidays, Christmas, Valentine's Day, July Fourth, or simply use them to add Americana charm to any room in your home.
