The whimsical birds and flowers in the border of this 22 inch square table quilt create a perfect frame for the traditional sawtooth star pattern in the center. The many colored squares and triangles in this quilt make the stars sparkle against a patchwork of white and cream. The quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted. Butterfly motifs are quilted into the wide border. This lovely bit of cheer can be displayed on a table or the back of a chair in a country, modern or cottage style room, lending a touch of warmth to a fresh colorful space. Its small size would make it a beautiful addition to a vignette with an antique crib or doll's bed. It has rings on the back for hanging should you decide to display it on a wall. If you would like these removed, let me know and I'll do that before sending it out. The quilt can be machine washed and should be laid flat to dry.

This was planned as a larger quilt, but when I put the first four star blocks together, I loved the sccondary diamond that the points created, so I left it at this size. Sometimes you just have to know when something is done, and this little quilt turned out just right.
