This quilted fabric box in the shape of a cheerful country cottage won an honorable mention at the 2009 New York State Fair in the home accessories category.
It is a beautifully sculpted quilt as well as a useful organizer. You can use this as a sewing box. Set it next to your phone to hold a notepad and pens. Jewelry, pills, baby items, I'll leave it to you to imagine the fancy treasures or useful items you could store in this pretty home.
The house is quilted onto a stiff interfacing and firmly attached to a pretty green lawn. It stands 7 inches to the tip of the roof, which is attached with hook and loop tape. Each side is 5 inches wide and high, and the "yard" is about 11 inches square.

I imagine this would be the perfect home for Spring. Wildflowers grow along the foundation. The roof is a patch of big, bright flowers, even the windows are dotted with tiny flowers. The paisley walkway curves back around to the door, to welcome you right back in.
