Cats and gardens simply belong together. This colorful fabric wall art is a cat's eye view of a garden. I was challenged to create a landscape quilt and chose to make it a picture of my own garden. I used some of my favorite hand dyed fabrics for the yellow heliopsis, pink coneflowers and red coral bells and quilted a dragonfly, butterfly and bee into the hand dyed blue sky. I started this project by drawing a picture of my cat as she sat on my brick patio staring through the flowers. I used a ragged edge applique style to create my vision in fabric. The quilting is done by hand. It is 23 by 18 inches with rings on the back for hanging. A perfect gift for a cat lover or gardener, and would look lovely in any room.

The name of this quilt is Bekah's Landscape. Our cat Bekah inspired me and posed for it. She's not with us anymore, but her spirit dwells in our garden.
