I love Herons and use images of photos I've taken to add them to these decorative and functional wooden boxes. I use 22k gold to hand draw the heron onto iridescent black glass, then fire it in for permanence. The art glass tile is then permanently bonded into the lid of a wooden box for you to store your keys, change, or any sort of trinket.

The simple uncluttered beauty of organic lines stand alone, but the sparkle of iridescent glass adds a feeling of being at the river's edge with the heron and watching the water sparkle under sunlight. I draw each tile individually for my boxes and although they may have the same look, no two are exactly alike.

I have one heron box at the moment, but can easily replicate it for you if you'd like more than one or If you'd like a different background color. Simply contact me with your request, I promise to make it easy for you!

Measures 5.25" x 5.25" x 2" tall. Alderwood commercial box with original glass tile inlay. 22k gold hand drawn and fired in for permanence.
