This listing is for a set of 20 identical birth announcement blocks, customized with your child's information. Each block is made by hand, then sanded and finished with a few coats of polyurethane. These are intended to send out as birth announcements, so that you family and friends can have all the information in a convenient keepsake. These also work well for wedding and other announcements. Eyelets: By default your blocks will come with eyelets added in the top left corner (eyelets may vary slightly from those shown), so that it will hang as the ones in the last picture do. Optionally, we can put the eyelets in the center of the top, so that they hang straight. We can also leave your blocks plain, with no eyelet, this way each block has no small parts and is child safe, but will not work as an ornament. If you would like one of these options just leave a note in the comments box when you check out. Additional Blocks and Special Options: The price is for 20 blocks. Additional blocks can be ordered for $3/block. Amount of time it takes will depend on the order size, orders of 20 should take 1-2 weeks production time (if something comes up I will let you know right away). Block size is 1.5" square, which is standard alphabet block size. If you are looking for larger blocks we may be able to make them for you, pricing will vary, please contact us for further details. How to Order: I will verify all of your order details before I start making the blocks, but the more information you provide up front the faster I can get to work. You're welcome to put your information in the notes box when you check out, otherwise you can send me a conversation through etsy after your purchase. With that in mind, here is the information I'll need: 1. The letter and color you would like on the top of each block (usually your child's first initial, uppercase). 2. The letter and color you would like on the bottom (usually your child's first initial, lowercase). 3. The image you would like on the first side (see below for more information), and boy/girl text. 4. Your child's full name. 5. Your child's birth date, time, and place. 6. Your child's weight and length. 7. Any special information (add eyelets, leave one block uncoated, use all lower-case text, etc.) This information can be changed and tweaked, but it's best to start out with the basics and go from there. First Side Image: The first side of the announcement block has an image on it. I have a collection of simple images you can use (see the last photo on this listing). I generally put the text "It's a boy!" or "It's a girl!" along with the image. You can, however, make this side more customized. If you would like to provide an image for me to use, just make sure you have permission to use it (if you didn't make the image, you need permission). Images *must* be faily simple and clean to transfer properly onto the wood, let me know what you want to use and I'll let you know if it will work. You can also request custom text on this side with the image, or instead of the image. Individual Blocks: If you are looking for *individual* blocks, just for yourself (perhaps for each of your children or grandchildren), contact me with the number and I'll make a custom listing for you. Since each different block has to have a different template, individual blocks will be a little more expensive. Shipping Info: Listed shipping charges are for the standard 20 block order. For larger orders, I can use a flat-rate box for domestic orders of up to 105 blocks, so unless you're ordering a huge amount shipping probably won't go over $11.00 domestic, if it's less I'll let you know. For international shipping, I can ship up to 24 blocks in a large USPS Global Priority Flat-Rate envelope -- the international shipping price reflects this shipping method -- it will be a little less if you're in Canada or Mexico, and likely a lot more if you order more than 24 blocks. If we ship in an envelope we will have to remove the eyelets before shipping. Safety: All paints are non-toxic. We have switched to using shellac as the coating on all of our blocks, which is food safe and completely non-toxic. The eyelets in these do constitute a small part, however, so these blocks are NOT for children under 3 -- if you would like to order one or more blocks without the eyelet we're more than willing to do this for you. Order Processing: I will contact you after your purchase to verify details before making your product. Due to demand, we're backed up a bit right now, custom items may take 2-3 weeks to process before shipment. Terms: If you are paying with a check, paypal e-check, or money order, your order will be held if necessary until after the payment clears.
