Hand forged horseshoe. I start with 2 1/4" of 14 gauge sterling silver round wire. I shape it with a special mandrel I made to get that perfect horseshoe shape. then I work it into a perfect slide that you can wear on almost any chain. The accent nail holes are filled with black to enhance them. Consider combining this with a small charm, such as a horse head or shamrock for instance. I like to create dainty gemstone sprays, with a briolette focal and rondelle accents. I wear this on a slender omega with a 5 x7 mm blue quartz briolette that is surrounded by sapphire rondelles.

Note: you will receive the horseshoe only, no chain or dangle as pictured. It will be packaged in a lime green velvet bag in an eco-friendly 100% recycled jewelry box.

This story is the same for all of my horseshoe series. I can never, ever find the perfect horseshoe. Sure there are nice ones out there that hang from one side, but I wanted one that hung straight at the 90. I started experimenting with 16 gauge sterling that I use in my wire wrapping, and those are the smallest of my horseshoe series, but I wanted more, so I bought some lengths of 14 and 12 gauge round to continue my quest. The 14 gauge is my favorite because it is more malleable than the 12 gauge for shaping, but I do like the thickness of the 12 gauge too. Because I like them all, I will sell them all.
