Check Out This Gorgeous Map Of France Back In 1905!

1905 was a milestone year for France
The 1905 French law on the Separation of the Churches and State was passed by the Chamber of Deputies on 9 December 1905. Enacted during the Third Republic, it established state secularism in France.

The law was based on three principles: the neutrality of the state, the freedom of religious exercise, and public powers related to the church. The law famously states "The Republic neither recognizes, nor salaries, nor subsidizes any religion".

If you ever find yourself traveling back in time and find yourself in France back in 1905, you'll be able to navigate your way around the countryside with grace and ease!

This fine map is illustrated in yummy soft pastel colors; all done in those gorgeous shades of Carnation Pinks and Aquas that early mapmakers loved so much, with lettering done in German in a beautiful Gutenburg calligraphy text.
The lovely satin-finished paper measures 9 1/4" x 11/1/4".

'1903 Map Of France' is printed on heavy paper stock and is in wonderful antique condition. The paper is smooth, clean and condition, without tanning, wrinkles, foxing or flaw. There's all sorts of population statistical info on a separate page and is blank on the reverse. This one's a real gem.

This lovely antique map will be sent to your mailbox folded as it was found, carefully packed, shipped flat and protected and cradled in a rigid mailer via USPS.
