The First People or Anasazi are also The Ojibwa, Ojibwe or Chippewa; the indigenous people of North America.
Linguistically they belong to Algonquian language and their language is divided into several dialects; the language of the Ottawa Indians near relatives. Their traditional settlement area extends across Canada and the northern United States .
Two of the largest tribes of the Ojibwa are the Sioux and Mississauga.

Today about 200,000 native people live in North America, Ojibwa, or about 30,000 of whom speak the Ojibway language.
