Here's unique view of North America in 1886 many years after the arrival of the white man.

This gorgeous 13.5" x 10.75." colored steel engraved map from the very end of 19th century shows all of the Native languages spoken in North America.

'Linguistic Stocks of American Indian North of Mexico' is in wonderful condition, with crisp edges and corners with a just a whisper of light tanning around the very edges. It has a clean crease down the center where it was folded as it was issued 124 years ago.
There's also a 12 page article that describes all of the Tribal Nations shown on the map.
