Yes Indeed. It really is the Titanic.

We both did a serious double-take when we stumbled upon this amazing photo-plate from 1912 entitled 'Modern Ocean Steamship", but after an hour or so of crawling through online Google archives for more info, we hit pay dirt and are very proud to confirm that yes indeed, these photos are in fact the ill-fated luxury steam liner 'The Titanic.' These four photos of the ship's interiors match exactly those of the Titanic images we found online.

These five photos of the famous rotunda, The writing room, the elevators, the exercise room and the overview of the ship under full sail were all publicity shots taken just before the tragic Titanic's maiden voyage.

This stunning 10" x 7" rotogravure plate rolled off the presses nearly a hundred years ago and it's still in lovely condition; smooth and flat it's edges are clean and crisp and it's blank on the reverse. The top and bottom left corners of the margins are creased a bit and it's folded cleanly at the center, as this was a foldout plate from a 1912 reference.

This fantastic illustration is simply begging to be framed.

I'm not sure exactly why they just called this 'Modern Ocean Steamship' and give no credits to name the ship; perhaps the publisher didn't wish to appear to endorse any particular affiliation. Beats me.

In any event, this really is the coolest collection of genuine period Titanic images I've ever held in my own two hands. For real.
