Here's what the ladies in mourning were wearing back in in the Summer of '71! (That's 1871) The poor dears must have roasted half to death in these heavy binding outfits!

This delightful 6.25" x 9.75" fashion illustration was harvested from my very own fine collection of antique Woman's fashion illustration from the late 1800s.

'1892 Parisian Mourning Fashions For Ladies' is in smooth condition with the exception of a small .5" closed tear in the bottom margin that doesn't touch the image itself. It's lightly tanned, with the usual spots one finds on paper that's well over 100 years old. (but very few really.)

I just love the way the fashion images printed on the reverse side show through the light-weight paper, creating a cool ghost-like effect.
