From my personal collection of amazing antique papers Im very pleased to present to you San Francisco, California as it looked in the year 1890.

San Fransisco was a very different world 120 years ago. There were still no automobiles, electricity was still in its infancy and Photography was a relatively new and very exciting invention.

For the very wealthy, there were lavish picture books for people to gaze upon... exotic and wonderful far off places around the globe; like the book this delightful 8 1/2 x 11 illustrated plate came from.

The printed image itself is 6 x 8 and simply yells FRAME ME! Ive had it stashed in a box forever and ever and this gorgeous image deserves far better treatment. There is a 1 open tear in the bottom left margin that just misses the text; a crop-able no big deal fix, I just wanted to let you know. Otherwise the ever so perfect paper with just a tiny sheen is smooth and clean. Without wrinkles or pings or marks.

This ones a gem.
