I first read about fire agate in a book about semi-precious gemstones and fell in love with its warm, yet exciting bands of pinks, oranges, reds and browns. When I spotted this string of fire agate in my local bead store, I immediately knew that smokey quartz would both complement and enhance the stones' "sunset" hues. The Czech crystals and gold-filled rondelles were simply the icing on the cake!
