This necklace was made with 11/0 crystal seed beads and 3mm Czech glass round beads. It was made using the St. Petersburg stitch. It is finished with a bali silver bead as the focal point and a silver plated round toggle clasp for the closure. There are over 100 Czech beads and 4 times as many seed beads in this necklace. It measures 20 inches in length.

I saw a tutorial for this stitch on Aunties Beads and knew that I had to try it. I must admit that when I first started it I was not thrilled with it. Most seed bead designs that I do hook me from the start. This one was different. It just didn't lay right and didn't wow me when I was making it. That is until I started the back row of beads. Then they started to lay straight and it really was coming together. Now I really like it and want to make a matching bracelet. I think I may try this pattern in Christmas colors too. And if I could find a flower bead for the bottom I would be in bead heaven. I hope you like the finished product as much as I do. It was a little difficult to photograph and I will probably try to get some better pics posted too.
