You are looking at a new handcrafted cream rag quilt entitled PANDAS! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CREAM COLOR OF THIS QUILT IS ACTUALLY LIGHTER IN COLOR THAN IT APPEARS IN THESE PHOTOS!

The top of the quilt is made of 80 squares: 40 squares have been cut from an assortment of cotton prints on cream and light tan grounds and 40 squares have been cut from a solid cream quilting cotton.

The prints used in this quilt are as follows: 5 floral prints, 3 leaf prints, 3 musical instrument prints, 3 teddy bear prints, 2 dog prints, 2 wedding prints, 2 Christmas prints, 2 Valentine's Day prints, and one print each of pheasants, horses, chipmunks, wild animals, cowboys and Indians, alphabet, seashells, Dad's chores, baseball, Mickey Mouse, butterflies, trains, camping, fishing, Dorothy's Toto, antique dolls, and pandas.

All of the squares on the top of the quilt are backed with solid cream squares on the back of the quilt.

Sandwiched between the top layer and the back layer of each square is one layer of a soft and fluffy cream cotton quilting flannel.

All of the squares were cut six inches and were sewn with the traditional "X" to hold the three layers together. The raggy edges are all half an inch, making the squares all five inches after sewing. All seams have been stitched twice.

This rag quilt measures approximately 40x50 inches, and is eight squares high and ten squares wide. It's the perfect size to display over the back of the couch, in the rocking chair, over the back of an easy chair, over the foot of a bed, as a wall hanging, or to cuddle up with for a nap. It would make a wonderful gift or a unique decoration.

All of my fabric has been washed and ironed prior to cutting. This rag quilt has been washed and dried once to begin the ragging process. It will get softer with each washing. Machine wash on cold (use two rinse cycles) and dry (empty the lint filter often). Be sure to wash and dry this quilt by itself as it will shed onto any other items washed or dried with it.
