Its hand crocheted with 100% cotton yarn.

DIRECTIONS: Simply insert a new bar of soap or combine it with all your little pieces of left over soap. Cotton stretches when wet so the soap saver is made to be snuggly when you first insert your new bar of soap. Once inserted, pull the drawstring tight. Hang your soap saver with the drawstring to keep your soap out of the water and drip dry.

I use this and just love it.
