Lei a greeting upon visitors and friends a like. A lei can be presented for any reason or no reason at all. They are perfect for birthdays, graduations, weddings, feasts, and holidays.

A lei should be presented by gently draping the lei over the recipients shoulders, hanging down both in front and in back. Remember that you should follow the presentation of a lei with a kiss on the cheek.

This lei is inspired by my magnificent surroundings on the island of Saipan. It is crocheted with eyelash yarn by me and is about 40 inches (102 cm) long. The ends are embellished with real kukui nuts (your choice of black or white) and peach double faced satin ribbon and has a self-closing mechanism (see third picture). While this lei may not have the beautiful aroma of flowers, it will last forever and can be passed on from one friend to another!

The last picture shows some of the color possibilities. If you would like another color combination, convo me for ideas. Have them made in school colors for graduation.
