Deep Teal Hoop earrings are copper enameled in my studio. I first have to take strips of copper and they are formed. The style of shaping is called anti-clastic forming. That is when a concave curved is formed then that curve is curved. This pair is a new blend I am calling Deep Teal. Numerous shades were used with numerous firings to produce this color. Ear wires are also handcrafted of 20 gauge sterling silver.
Total drop: a bit over 1-3/8"
Hoop width: 5/16" wide
Across with hoop: a bit over 1-3/16 to 1-1/4"

Enameling is fusing glass to metal, in this case copper. Each piece is fired multiple times including the back.
