From the Latin word for "crown", these earrings have been made to resemble festive wreaths or coronets, with multiple wires intertwining in a circle.

For the base, a continuous coil of sterling silver wire was formed into a hoop. More sterling silver wire was then used to weave a criss-cross pattern incorporating tiny white freshwater pearls. Large and luminous keishi pearls were then wire-wrapped to accent the tops, and the hoops were given hand-forged earwires. All metal components used are sterling silver which has been oxidized and then buffed by hand to reveal greater depth and dimension.

These hoops are my original creation, bold at first glance yet exceedingly delicate and graceful up close.

The earrings measure about 2.4" (60mm) including earwires. The hoop portion is about 1.5" (38mm) diameter.
