This contemporary art glass platter is embellished with the reds and yellows of fall. Starting with a plain sheet of white translucent glass, the colors are applied in multiple layers and firings. All the applications are done freehand so each piece will be truly unique. The generous size, 10"X 14"X 1 5/8", is useful for serving or duty as a centerpiece. I recommend hand washing this piece, however I clean them in my dishwasher with no problems, but mine doesn't get as hot as the new ones. The platter is food safe and the paint is fired into the glass and will not fade or peel. These types of dishes are usually made in a set and discounts are available if the whole set is purchased.
